I Haven't Done Anything

This jaw-droppingly hilarious visual masterwork follows a has-been actor who tries every trick in the book, including branding himself “Oldboy,” to carve out a YouTube/Instagram career. His Oh!TV channel views stay in the single digits until he starts focusing on Picket Man, a handsome young guy who’s waging a lonely battle to protest his innocence in a subway groping incident. Before he knows it, Oh!TV is the talk of the town and views go through the roof. Park Sang-min takes it to another level in this laugh-a-second bullet-train of a movie, as social media consumerism constantly blurs the line between entertainment and reality. Fans of Korean variety shows should also be on the lookout for some surprising cameos.

Park Sang-min majored in film direction in college and produced many short black comedies before starting his career as an assistant director. After working on several films with Jung Bum-shik, he co-wrote the horror film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum with him. Resisting offers to make his own directorial debut with a horror title, Park decided instead to combine the idea of a short film he wrote in his 20s and the “charm” of personal internet broadcasting, which became the dark comedy I Haven’t Done Anything.
