Damp
Set in Taiwan, Damp follows a brief but emotionally charged moment between Yen, a young man with cerebral palsy, and his Thai caregiver, Suriya. Through gestures, silences, and fragments of conversation, the film captures the nuanced boundaries between caregiving and intimacy, dependence and agency. Shot with sensitivity and restraint, Damp is both a standalone short and a proof of concept for the director’s first feature No Money No Honey, which further expands the story into a broader exploration of labor, love, and identity across borders.
