Fragment

파편

Adolescent Jun-kang and his little sister live without parents, struggling to survive while attending school and facing eviction. Nearby, another teenager, Gi-su, also lives alone amid suffering. Are these three connected by a twist of fate? Inspired by an essay about children of prisoners, writer-director Kim Sung-yoon’s debut is a dark yet tender portrayal of youth coping with trauma. Rather than dwelling on past events, Kim highlights how the children endure unimaginable adversity. This gripping mystery-drama feels torn from headlines, its emotional power heightened by Kim’s bold cinematic style and deeply sympathetic characters.
