Hear Me: Our Summer
Fresh out of college, Yong-jun delivers lunchboxes while figuring out his future. When delivering to a deaf swimmer, he instantly falls for her sister. Encouraged by the swimmer, Yong-jun tenderly courts her using sign language, finding direction through their blossoming relationship. But when she suddenly distances herself, he's at a loss. This inspired Korean remake of the 2009 Taiwan romance Hear Me spotlights hearing-impaired experiences with emotional resonance and visual flair, as most dialogue unfolds through expressive signing. Insightful and heartfelt, the film beautifully captures the nuances of love, communication, and connection beyond words.
