How Dare You?

ふつうの子ども

Grade schooler Yuishi falls for his classmate Kokoa after she passionately channels Greta Thunberg in a speech about environmental activism. Teaming up with the class troublemaker, Yuishi embarks on a self-righteous crusade and finds himself in a precocious love triangle. Their antics soon spiral into unintended consequences, forcing the trio to confront hard truths. Director Mipo O showcases her sharp humor and skill at eliciting naturalistic performances from her young actors. With its cleverly wry script tackling big moral dilemmas and childhood feelings alike, How Dare You? is an observant and bittersweet cautionary tale equally meaningful for kids and grown-ups.
