Queerpanorama

眾生相

Jun Li’s provocative exploration of identity and intimacy captures the fragmented realities of contemporary LGBTQ+ life in Hong Kong. Following a nameless young man as he adopts and discards identities, the film traverses enigmatic encounters and dissolves boundaries between self and other. Shot in striking monochrome with poetic clarity, Queerpanorama examines urban alienation and fleeting connections within a multicultural hookup culture. Li’s delicate yet frank approach demands viewers lean in closer, revealing a compelling meditation on the masks we wear, the search for solidarity, and the elusive nature of intimacy in a fragmented world.
