To Kill a Mongolian Horse

一匹白馬的熱夢

On Inner Mongolia’s windswept steppes, Saina, a herdsman by day and horseback stunt performer by night, struggles to preserve his traditional lifestyle amid rapid societal changes. Trapped between a tourist-driven past and an uncertain future, Saina finds true freedom only while riding his beloved white stallion. Inspired by the star’s real-life experiences, this elegiac debut poignantly conveys the personal toll of confronting modernization, generational friction, and cultural erosion. Featuring authentic performances from its non-professional cast, spectacular horseback sequences, and breathtaking Mongolian landscapes, To Kill a Mongolian Horse is a moving exploration of identity, belonging, and the challenges of navigating an ever-changing world.
