Human Resource

พนักงานใหม่ (โปรดรับไว้พิจารณา)

At work, Fren decides who gets a future. At home, she has two months to decide whether to create one. Prapamonton Eiamchan plays an HR manager who is one month pregnant and still unsure whether she wants to continue. Each day, she sits across from young applicants trying to sound confident in a world that has given them little reason to be. Their answers are rehearsed and hopeful and quietly desperate, an accidental preview of the life waiting for the child she may have. Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit, the filmmaker behind Fast & Feel Love and Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy, turns the job interview into a silent instrument of suspense. Tender, unsentimental, exact, Human Resource premiered in Venice's Orizzonti section and won the Fondazione Fai Prize.
